The most desirable co-location environment is one in which potential problems are identified before they happen and are averted. Silicon Beach Westnet customers are enabled to monitor several aspects of their own environment through the use of the MySiteLojix Customer Portal. Simply by going to my.sitelojix.com, a customer can monitor activity specific to alerts, probes and bandwidth utilization.
In addition to MySiteLojix, Silicon Beach Westnet has a number of custom tools in place utilized to monitor and provide BGP status (EBGP and IBGP, OSPF adjacency status), network CPU performance and router 'up time' reports. We monitor network elements specific to potential IP connectivity problems, as well as collect network performance data. Our platform continuously polls all specified elements to test for IP connectivity and can be configured to execute a number of warning mechanisms should a problem occur.
