CMC Rescue's challenge was in updating their old website with one that featured a comprehensive ecommerce system with database driven functionality. CMC spent a careful and considerable amount of time before selecting Silicon Beach Westnet to provide the technology, front-end development and project management needed to successfully launch their website within a strict given timeframe.
Through several strategy sessions, Silicon Beach Westnet took the time to discover CMC Rescue's prioritized needs, in addition to identifying technical challenges which kept their former vendor from implementing the solutions they desired.
Web-based management tools were developed to offer non-technical CMC Rescue employees the ability to easily update news, training and product information. A brand-enhancing Web presence was built to offer secure shopping functionality, database driven search attributes, dynamic bulletin board features for exchanging information, content management abilities for CMC Rescue employees and the ability to pay and register for classes offered at the CMC Rescue School online.
Silicon Beach Westnet successfully provided a hosted Web presence utilizing Microsoft's (ASP) Site Server solution on a Windows 2000 Server platform working with an SQL database on a separate server.
