Techknowledge Point needed a website that would effectively explain the benefits of becoming a member, in addition to ecommerce functionality to enable annual subscriptions, promotional tracking for measuring the success of marketing campaigns, and a variety of back-end administration tools for supporting various ejournal and membership attributes. They were also seeking a reliable hosting solution that would keep the site up and running in the event of a significant spike in traffic or common hardware failure.
The Silicon Beach Westnet team combined the standard features of the ShopLojix ecommerce engine with its intuitive, easy-to-use interface for searching, storing, purchasing and managing members. Web-based management tools were customized for Techknowledge Point to give non-technical staff the ability to easily update areas of the website. An intuitive user interface was designed, adhering to a strict benchmark specific to file size and download times.
